| | Would you ever use the Keeper?? Why or why not?? | | I use the keeper cup. I think it's technically known as the 'Diva' cup, and it's made of surgical plastic. You squeeze it in at the top, insert it, and remove to empty between 8-12 hours later. It costs around $35 dollars and you can use it for 2 years before replacing. It's environmental because there are no pads, tampons or packaging being dumped in landfills, it's cost efficient... I mean, $35 bucks for 2 years! It's great! Plus, there's no chance of toxic shock and I'm able to sleep, swim, whatever without worrying about leaks. It is a little more 'hand's on', but I'm comfortable with that. You just remove it, spill it into the toilet, rinse with warm water and re-insert. I also keep a small pack of organic tampons in my purse (similar to OB, they have no applicator) just in case I'm caught out somewhere without my cup. When my cycle's over I wash it out with a gentle soap and store it in a little cloth bag that comes with it. It's the best thing I've tried, and I love it!*I originally posted this as a response to a discussion, but wanted to know what other women thought so I re-posted here! Thanks for sharing!* | |
| | How to know if you are ready to have children | | HaHa. A friend sent me this in an email. Boy could I identify with many of these. After reading it, tell me which ones you can most identify with! How To Know Whether or Not You Are Ready to Have ChildrenMess Test:Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Now rub your hands
in the wet flowerbed and rub on the walls. Cover the stains with
crayons. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all
summer.Toy Test:Obtain a 55-gallon box of Lego's. (If Lego's are not available,
you may substitute roofing tacks or broken bottles.) Have a friend
spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to
the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream. (This could wake a child
at night.)Grocery Store Test:Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them

sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.Dressing Test:Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net

| | You faith in humanity is it intact? | | I have received a big boost to my faith in humanity. Last Saturday I was returning from a class in Webdesign. I had my textbook, homework and a personal notebook in a cloth bag. I was very upset since the instructor was so rude to me. I had missed the first class of an intermediate course and could not keep up with his pace. He was very impatient with me. So when I entered the subway I was so upset. I had to change trains and as I got off one train I realized I had left my cloth bag behind, but the doors were already closing and the train sped off. The most upsetting thing was my that my personal notebook with lots of personal information such as my name etc. and phone numbers of friends (some unlisted)were in that book. I could easily replace the text book but evil people could make use of the personal information. I spent a very worried week-end and phoned the lost and found as soon as it opened on Monday morning. No bag was turned in. My worries increased because of the notebook. Today I was on the subway again. On impulse I stopped at the lost and found office. I showed them a similar cloth bag which I had with me and asked them to check for my lost one. I laughed and... | |
