myLot Discussions| The Human Vacuum cleaner | | Holy Crap..My 9 month old is like a freaking Hover Vac... she not only eats EVERYTHING we give her on her plate.. but when we put her down on the floor she puts everything she can find in her mouth...and if there is nothing on the floor she will literally bend over and lick the floor.. It doesn't matter how much I clean she finds something to put in her mouth and always winds up with dirt all over her.. | | Jehovah Witnesses Vs Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Salesmen | | One month ago I had a group of Jehovah Witnesses come to my house and also a Kirby vacuum cleaner salesman, thankfully not on the same day. If you do not know who these Kirby people are, trust me good for you. Today I thought about that while I was working, and thought which one was a worse experience. So I made a list,
Both of them were unwanted, tie.
The Jehovah Witnesses brought the whole family to my door, I am guessing the parents and the two daughters. The Kirby salesmen, only two, advantage Kirby.
After the Jehovah Witnesses gave me their material they left. The Kirby people would not take no for an answer. My husband jokingly said to me, "Let me go get my shotgun." Point to the Jehovah Witnesses it is now a tie.
Neither one were pedaling anything I wanted, one a religion the other a overly priced vacuum cleaner. Still a tie.
So I need your help braking the tie by telling me which of these two are the worse to have knocking on your door. | |

| | Are you comfortable working with Vacuum cleaner? | | do you feel that using vaccum cleaners is more easy a task or done by your self, i mean by dusting and mopping and all that stuff. i feel vaccum cleaner is very easy and for the normal and daily dudsting part i do by my dusters. otherwise i vaccuum cleaners are the best thing iinvented for people like me. i am having spondylysis so i cant clean up things with my head up and neck up. i am suffering from cervical so it gives headache . by doing cleaning with a vaccum cleaner i dont have to look up that much. now when my maid is not there, i can handle my daily chores all by myself. | |
| | Vacuum Cleaner 1 Necklace 0 | | There I was doing my chores and getting aerobic with the vacuum cleaner when all of a sudden there was the most hideous clanking sound as I sucked up something that I shouldn't. I switched off and began my examination. Small, highly polished pieces of steel shrapnel poured out of the vacuum tube and I realised that I had a jewelry calamity on my hands. Somehow, a necklace had been left lying about and Mr Hoover had digested it spitting out the bits that he didn't want. Now I have to explain to one of my womenfolk how this accident happened. | | Too much bother to gert out the vacuum cleaner used broom | | No this is not a too lazy, but our vacuum cleaner is in the guest room. Now we have a small guest room, it used to be one of our sons;'s bedroom but this house should have been a two bedroom instead of a three bedroom house, even the master bedroom is small, so with the bed in the guestroom, there is not much room for anything else, not even a dresser, and that is the only place to put the vacuum cleaner.
We have to move everything to take it out, so I only vacuum when needed, most of the time we use the sweeper on the linoleum.
Well with all the Christmas presents in the guest room, plus the other mattress, I did not want to take out the vacuum cleaner, and there were a few crumbs on the living room carpet, so I decided to use the broom there, and it worked. It is amazing how much dust balls there were.
So have you done this, used the broom where you would have usually used the vacuum cleaner? I know I did it when our vacuum cleaner was broken. | |

| | I emptied my vacuum cleaner and pulled out a dog! | | This morning I did the usual weekly empty of my vacuum cleaner.I pulled out the most gigantic bundle of dog hair!!!..enough to at least knit a sweater or two!!..surely there just must be a use for these hairs....maybe some of you use them for someting ..who knows????? | |
